Generosity Conversations

Generosity conversations provide an opportunity for Area Representatives to invite church leaders to name their current financial reality and their financial/stewardship practices. In addition, these conversations help to chart a bold but doable course toward their preferred future.

Creating a Culture of Generosity

By asking focused questions, TMF Area Representatives are prepared to help congregations take their generosity conversations to a deeper level.

We know that creating a culture of generosity requires a careful look at the current financial reality. Good questions help us name that reality. It is our hope these questions and resources will help guide you in your generosity journey.

Church Endowment Services

We also help churches design, launch, and promote gift planning programs and church endowment funds to help secure a healthy future for the congregation’s missions. Within the next 10 to 15 years, an enormous transfer of wealth will take place between generations. TMF Area Representatives can help you motivate donors to give as well as establish an endowment fund to receive those gifts. This places your church in a position to receive a portion of those assets. Utilizing these services may be the most important steps you take in securing the financial future of your church.

Putting Your House in Order

Putting Your House in Order is a popular 2 hour workshop which guides participants through some of life's toughest planning tasks. Matters discussed include how to have life-altering family conversations about passing on values, and how to allow one's generosity and gratitude to God to continue even after one's death. The $10 per participant cost includes a 45-page booklet that is an invaluable resource for chronicling personal information for the purposes of probate.

Year-Round Stewardship

A culture of generosity is one to be nurtured throughout the year. As a conversation partner and resource your Area Representative provides up to date information, education, and relevant workshops to meet your needs. Your Area Representative offers a realistic review of your church’s stewardship history, introduces effective approaches, engages appropriate resources, while guiding church leaders and congregations along their stewardship journey. Year-round stewardship education and emphasis is often developed in conjunction with the annual generosity campaign. A modest fee may be charged for this service.
