David McCaskill
Senior VP of Loans and Investments
For over 20 years, David has overseen TMF’s investment operations, growing investment opportunities for our clients with impact investments in our Methodist Loan Fund and bond and equity investments through Wespath. Before joining TMF, David supervised the operations of five Bank of America (formerly NationsBank) branches in the Austin area, managing 100 staff members and overseeing more than $300 million in assets. David served as President of First National Bank of Georgetown prior to his move to Bank of America.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, David earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 1978 and during his time at Bank of America he passed the FINRA series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative Qualification Examination), 63 (Uniform Securities State Law Examination), and 26 (Investment Company and Variable contracts Products Principal Qualification).

Derek Casteel, CFA
Director of Investment Services
Derek joined TMF as director of investment services in 2018. He is primarily responsible for the management of institutional client relationships, pursuit of growth opportunities, and marketing. He most recently served as a managing director at Wespath Institutional Investments, where he led the team responsible for growth and retention of institutional assets under management within the Wespath family of commingled investment funds. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president at Community Capital Management, where he marketed the firm’s fixed income strategies to nonprofit institutional investors and their investment consultants. Derek received a B.S. degree in Political Science from Florida State University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Sara Beltran
Assistant Vice President of Fund Administration
Sara joined TMF in 2000 and currently oversees the team responsible for operational and administrative services for institutional and individual investors. Sara and her team manage all new account onboarding, security and cash transfers and gifts and donations. Her group manages disbursements and rebalancing transactions, account authorizations, and maintains TMF’s electronic archive of institutional client documentation.

Randi Forrest
Investor Services Assistant
Randi joined TMF as the investment services assistant in 2014 working alongside Sara Beltran. Randi manages all fund investor account transactions and investor communications. She also manages the stock account and transfers for all nonprofit church affiliates for TMF.
