Leadership Ministry Resources

Join the Leadership Ministry conversation. We believe that every movement for change starts with a conversation. At TMF, we provide space for leaders to be in conversation with other leaders so that new learning occurs, ideas for innovation emerge and courage is reinforced…all for the sake of the deep change needed to live into the world that God imagines.

The Leadership Ministry team launched a new podcast in 2021 to invite church leaders into deeper conversations around innovation, courage, and resilience. The first season, Reservoirs of Resilience, included six episodes featuring captivating leaders such as Tod Bolsinger, the author of Canoeing the Mountains and Tempered Resilience, and Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, the first female President and CEO of Huston-Tillotson University, Austin’s only historically Black college and university.
In the second season, the Leadership Ministry team selected an official name for the podcast - Igniting Imagination - and they shared conversations with the inaugural class of Tom Locke Innovative Leader Award winners.
Now the Leadership Ministry team has six seasons of episodes! These latest seasons have been focused on the “Five Adaptive Muscles” Leadership Ministry staff have identified (which congregations need to strengthen and flex in order to thrive now and in the foreseeable future), Gil Rendle's publication Jacob's Bones, and the second class of Tom Locke Innovative Leader Award recipients.
