TMF is Launching a Leadership Ministry Podcast with a Series Approach
Austin, TX: The Texas Methodist Foundation (TMF) is launching a new podcast with a series approach to invite church leaders into deeper conversations around innovation, courage, and resilience. The first series, Reservoirs of Resilience, will include six episodes featuring captivating leaders such as Tod Bolsinger, the author of Canoeing the Mountains and Tempered Resilience, and Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, the first female President and CEO of Huston-Tillotson University, Austin’s only historically Black college and university. This series will also include a bonus storytelling episode each week where courageous leaders share their powerful and poignant stories of resilience.
While the first series has been specifically crafted to meet the current challenges of the pandemic and highlight the critical characteristic of resilience in the work of the church, future series will explore a variety of leadership topics. “This first series sprang from two publications I have written for TMF around the concept of resilience,” Bishop Janice Riggle Huie stated. “Expanding on that idea to create a series of podcasts that will benefit leaders across the country has been such an exciting undertaking and an excellent way to share the vast depth of experience within TMF’s network of church leaders.”
The vision for this podcast was developed and brought to life by TMF’s Leadership Ministry team. TMF’s Leadership Ministry connects diverse, high-capacity leaders in conversations and environments that create a network of courage, learning, and innovation in order to help the church lean into its God-appointed mission. “We see the podcast as the next step in engaging leaders in vital conversations, which we hope will foster a greater sense of wellbeing as well as an expanded imagination for what’s possible,” VP of Leadership Ministry, Rev. Lisa Greenwood shared.
The first episode of Reservoirs of Resilience will go live on February 16, 2021, with new episodes on Tuesdays and storytelling episodes on Thursdays through March 18, 2021. Episodes will be available on all podcasting platforms as well as on our website.
